is a sentinel pile & skin tag the same thing?

A sub-forum to talk about what our fissures, etc., leave behind. Tags, uncomfortable and sometimes painful. This is the place!

Welcome to the forum. Just to let you know, workingonit has not been online in two years. By compromised she means that the area forms more scar tissue. A sentinel pile forms usually after some damage to the area, such as when an anal fissure heals. A lot of people have them. Personally, unless it truly hassles you, i would not have them removed.

Thanks for your input.

It's more out of self-consciousness that I want it removed. That, and for reasons of hygiene. I doubt I have the fissure any more. It doesn't hurt at all. I've had it for 9 years or so.
