I now did the LIS (4 mm was cut) 8 weeks ago. I notice I can not always keep gas from coming out. Panic! Is this normal a...

My doctor also found a small Pilonidal and removed it while doing the LIS. Every time I go for a BM I use a bidet and clean and using a mirror I see that it's a...

Incontinence after LIS

... you need to go back to the toilet and wipe again. I'm sort of getting frustrated because the information is so inconsistent. Some studies mention incontinence in 30% of patients, others 10 or 5%. My surgeon tells me he's never seen incontinence in a male and once in a female and that was to gas. ...

Fecal incontinence from LIS in aging

Does anyone have information regarding the following: Say you get a sphincterotomy. You don't immediately suffer from fecal incontinence. But later on in life, the incontinence presents itself. I would hypothesise that a sphincterotomy accelerates the degeneration of the sphincter as ...

Can nifedipine cause incontinence?

I started using nifedipine Friday, and it's been great. I almost feel looser than normal down there. That got me to thinking, could it cause incontinence? I'm trying to just use a pea-sized amount.

Protection for light incontinence

Some people have posted here looking for something to keep their underwear clean during light incontinence, or if they are using greasy ointments and creams. I haven't tried this, but it looks good: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MT5XHF4?ref_=pe_623860_70668520 It's ...
