I think of all things one can do post-surgical, not sitting for at least a couple weeks is at the top of the list of things one can do to aid in healing and especially see the recovery time as short as possible.

Amy kitty-cat - it is all so individual and everybody deals with pain and recovery the best way one can and does what feels right for them . It wold be wonderful if there was only one and sure way to heal - but there is none. Some people do everything "by the book" an still do not heal at all, and some do stupid "anti-fissure" things and heal just like that.
But, I would like you to NEVER feel guilty for the condition you have and for the amount of the rest or care you might need. You certainly did not make a choice to live with so much pain and you are doing the best you can under the circumstances.
Do not push yourself to do too much too soon. If you feel fine sitting and jogging, by all means do it. If you feel irritation, get extra swelling , burning or bleeding - than take it easy. You must "listen to your butt" to help it heal Image
