fistula surgery

hello. i had a fistula surgery 9 days ago. felt horrible for the first week but now i have a discharge that is not blood or pus? smells yuck. and not pain but strange feeling? how long will this feeling last? what is this smell and discharge? this is just yuck.

I had exactly the same happen about 10 days after fistula surgery - it was an infection in the wound. If you can get an emergency appointment tomorrow with your GP, then they should give you antibiotics and it feels better after a few days. (If yours is the same, of course!)

hello...if its not infected should the wound be draining a clear fluid that smells a little?

It could be a few things, but just to be on the safe side, you could check with your doctor?

Hi Jack! I had a fistulotomy in June and I had clear discharge too, but it didn't smell. I agree with Val, you should get it checked out by your doc. I think that anything that has a funky odor should be investigated.
