Developed fissure from constipation due to breastfeeding 7 weeks after delivery (Jan 2014)
Nifedepine
Colace
Magnesium
Miralax - godsend
Nitro - some improvement
LIS (May 2014) - cured for 3 months then setback
Diltiazem
Feeling better for now

Thanks all for your words of encouragement! Surgery is tomorrow and im going ahead. Im def confident in my surgeon as im a nurse and see his patients post-op (not lis ones). I will check back in!

3/14 Diagnosed w/ fissure given Nifedipine
4/14 Referred to Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy=Pelvic Floor Dysfunction
5/14 Fissure declared "healed"/chronic anal pain persists
9/5/14 Botox to pelvic floor
9/22 biofeedback

So I had it! It was done at 3pm and its now 6 hours post op and i have no pain. Im scared of my first bm!! And I have a feeling that pain will set im soon. Seems too goo to be true.

Well it probably will not be pain free, but here's to hoping. Good luck stay strong and beat this nasty thing

Well the first bm was quite uneventful. I prepared myself for agony. Popped a pain killer, set up the sitz bath and took a seat. Well, it was liquidy and fell right out :/
