After doing as much research as I could on the www and reading thru this forum I decided to give the NATCM in Markham, Ontario a try.  I had my first treatment today so I'm not in a position to offer much of an evaluation yet.  I have stage 3 combination (inside and out) haemorrhoids according to the doctor at NATCM with a tag which allegedly has a polyp on it.  I have had these haemorrhoids for over 30 years.  I have had to push them back inside after each bowel movement since they first appeared.  As well I have suffered occasional flare ups where I had considerable discomfort.  Also I have had to worry about them falling out and becoming a problem anytime I have travelled or altered my usual routine in any way.
I was told I would need to come in every day for 21 days to clear everything up and was quoted a price of $3,000.00 taxes included.  Certainly a significant expense, but I did not feel it was unreasonable if it works.  The first treatment certainly seems to have provided some relief from my most recent flare up.
It is a little bit difficult communicating with the doctor who applies the preparation.  As well the treatment is not cheap.  But if it works I'll be a happy customer.  I will try to give regular reports in case anyone else on this forum is considering this option.

Oh my I'm so glad I found you Givingitatry,
I'm from Toronto , actually live in the York, Thorn hill area, not far from Markham.
Wow, that is a lot of money, but like you said if it work's, hay I'm at my wit's end and grasping from all straw's..Image
Yes, Yes, Please do report back your progress, I'm so interested.
I just checked out the website, What does NATCM stand for?, mind you it was part of the email address, probably a name?
My Gastrologist is from the digestive health clinic (near highway 7 and Bayview, Markham). My G.P referred me there.
I had my Colonoscopy by a Dr Chan, I remember her telling me about the problem's of western diets and why most Chinese(she stressed older Chinese) are not afflicted with these issues because they don't follow our way's.

Givingitatry!
Welcome!
Yes, we'd all be very interested in following your progress. It would be especially helpful if you could start your own topic thread by starting a new topic so we can all more easily follow along with your updates.
Wishing you the very best of luck with your treatment! And looking forward to reading your udates!

Please go-away!,
I suspect that N.A.T.C.M stands for National Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Makes sense to me, but I didn't ask, so I'm not sure. I will update on a regular basis because I know how helpful it is to hear about another persons experience when trying a somewhat unconventional treatment. Especially one as expensive as this one !! Though I will, as per jr2's suggestion put future updates under a new topic heading which I have started under the Diary Section and titled Diary of My NATCM Treatment.
jr2,
As per your suggestion I have started a new topic in the Diary section.

This is the best news to hear today. I am so happy to hear that things are improving on all fronts and that you've found some things to help and though cautious you're feeling that the "healed" word is okay to use!
Hooray!!!!
And wow, sounds like the seaweed is a wonderful tonic for so many reasons!
Wishing you continued healing and well being and I'm hoping this whole fissure trauma has permanently come to an end for you.

So, 2 years out from this posting series, how is it now? Are you better? Would you recommend NATCM? I don't have a fissure, but a prolapsed hemorrhoid and wounld like to address this without surgery (scheduled to see a surgeon tomorrow for a consult); already went through the specialist with the rubber band litigation (didn't work that well). Anyways, let me us know. Cheers :)
