My experience with the finger has been good so far. i really feel it helps. But, and this is a big but, when I had harder than normal BM, it didnt prevent a retear :(
Even with this its still crusial to have soft BMs!

Ok... I got the seat and its on the toilet. Its like a knob that you sit back onto which is a little farther back than i am used to but only by a couple inches. Its not really all that uncomfortable but i only sat on it because i dont have to go until morning. I got it last week but i had to bug my fiance to put it on for me and finally he did. It only took a few minutes. So i will report back tomorrow after i use it.

However, the toilet seat is not ld using your finger... Its more of a blunt knob that holds you up.

Ok. I used the toilet seat this morning. Its a little strange, but i did like the results. I ate a little bit of junk yesterday at a party and i was out in the sun, dehydrating, ect. I had cake and potato chips, but not too much. I also woke up in the middle of the night scratching! So i was like oh my god when i saw blood on my underwear in the middle of the night. Anyway so i was in sorry shape when i went to use the toilet this morning, i had a harder than usual bm , and then i had to go two more times. I used the seat as directions said. Afterwards, i went to work, i had pain as usual from sitting in the car. I also use nifedipine, btw. The rest of the day i had minimal pain and NO goddamn itching or burning. I think it helped me from retearing this morning and i am definately going to continue using it. So thats day one, i had a good first experience.

Ok day four. The doctor told me today that i am improving and the fissure is smaller and looks better. I am starting to feel normal again. So whether its the seat or nifedepine i dont know but im getting to the pain free zone most of the day. The doctors exam did not hurt, just itchy.
