Hi Brittany,

It took me almost 3 to 4 months to see no symptoms and say no more fissure. I still continue drinking lots of water though. I went on a 5 days trip to Thailand and due to improper restrooms there I drank very less water. My bowels very hard and difficult but nothing like AF. I've been told that there could be a fissure relapse if fiber and water are neglected. That, and healthy living motivates me to eat lots of veggies & drink water. Hope you feel better soon Brittany

Thanks for your response, Mry! I'm so frustrated that I was so, so close to that point -- it had been almost 3 months since the last time I had symptoms, and I really thought I was close to freedom. Starting the clock over at 0 is so hard. I've been keeping up with tons of water, good eating habits, Miralax, and Diltizem, so it seems there was just no reason for this to happen. I'm glad you have been able to experience long term healing, and it gives me hope that I can get there too! How long have you been symptom-free?

It's been 6 months now that I'm symptom free. Hang in there, you'll get there too

Hi brittanyb
How are you now? I had my setback/retear today, seen amount of blood, but not so much painful, no spams at all.
Did you have that terrible spams last for hours after BM?
