Ya my specialist said the same thing that it’s a minor procedure and none of his patients had incontinence. How long did it take you to recover ? Did the soreness and burning sensation lessen after the surgery. For me I don’t get many spasms ( maybe it’s the Botox) but I am pretty sore after a bowel movement.

My recovery was quite hard as I went into a major flare probably caused by all the stress. I know most people on here who have no underlying issues, recover very well maybe about two weeks and their soreness goes pretty quick. Have a read of the LIS diaries most of them are really positive.
It took me about 6 months to have no soreness but again I'm a complicated case and was turned down for LIS by 3 surgeons. But even I'm now super pleased I had my LIS it truly has given me my life back

I just had a Botox procedure a week ago and I still feel soreness and burning but for less time. Before I was feeling horrible spasms 5/6h after BM. Now my BM is still painful, but less and the spasms is once in a while not everyday. This is a good news! I'm in the recovering way! Positive thoughts! But for sure I take now strong pain medication after BM and rest in bed to help the healing process. I can't wait to be soreness, burning and pain free!
Believe in God, meditation, lots of fiber and water, love, prayers and positive thoughts and vibrations. Good luck!
