I used Canasa, with so-so results. It was for inflammation/hemorrhoids(?; not really sure) after the main period of my first fissure experience. I had been using Miralax to soften my stool (to allow the fissure to continue healing), then noticed that it was causing anal leakage. Before I could get the stuff got completely out of my system, anal pathway seemed to suddenly close up; it became very difficult to pass stool. I assumed it was hemorrhoids (now I'm not so sure), for which my GI PA prescribed Canasa suppositories. They helped a little bit, but weren't a great help. I'll tell you that I was completely terrified every time that I had to insert them! It wasn't until I started using nitro that passing stool became easy again.
