It's been awhile, an update and other fissure secrets

Postby erik » 31 Jan 2008, 00:30

Hey everyone,
First off, thank you to all those who have responded to my posts in the good and bad times. I am now at 95% healed, one year out from an LIS. Actually went 5 months with no blood (a record!). Had a set back after a bout of food poisoning and healing again. I am moving to tucson in the summer which I am excited about. and taking yoga classes which i have learned relaxes and reduces stress, even fissure stress.
on another note i found a great product that relieves the fissure burn.
and it is made by a company that i really trust.
carmex! for your lips
lanex for your bum (from the makes of carmex)
they have it on there website, has been used since 1945 for hemorrhoids.
all natural and has a cool feeling.
I also have been using fiberall with Roobios tea...yum. helps keep things soft and regular.
I wish you all the best and will have to keep in better touch.
Hug from me!
Erik

Hey Erik,

I have seen you log on once in awhile and wondered how you were doing. That is so awesome you are at 95%. I am so happy for you and that you have found some things that work for you.

Thanks for sharing your secrets. I will have to check in the lanex-I can't believe I haven't heard of it because I have had hemorrhoids since about 1945~!

If fiberall a powder fiber supplement?

Is that photo of you in London? It looks like one of the phone booths. Good luck with your move. I lived in Colorado for 16 years on and off. Don't know anything about Arizona though!

Let us know when pooping is fun again!

good to hear from you erik! i've been wondering how you were doing. i'm glad you're almost 100% healed...even though it's taken so long. you and i have had similar sloooow healing paths after our surgeries. i'm still not completely healed since my 2nd surgery in September. knowing that you've perservered for a year after LIS and are now close to 100% is very encouraging for me. i'll keep up all that i'm doing and hopefully one day we can both celebrate being 100%! :)

It is a phone booth in london. Image just like Dr. Who.
I misspoke, about fiberall, i meant fibersure, a clear mixing poweder, goes great in teas and in everything. i really didn't like metamucil or fibers like that because they bulk you up rather than slick you up.
inulin fiber (fibersure is the way to go).
nice to hear from you ladies! erik

roobios tea really is just plain good, for your health, for digestion, not sure about constipation.
they have it at most grocery stores now, its a red tea. no caffine.
it is great for putting clear fiber in and calms the nerves.
won't do much for a fissure but does alot for the soul. Image

I doubt that it has no caffeine ...hmmm, it is same plant that is used for green and gray and black tea - they all differ just by fermentation time that they were exposed to. BUT, it tastes wonderful ; ))) !!!! I love it in combination with other aromatic teas and herbs.

Actually its not from the plant that they get tea from (camellia sinenis), its from a bush grown only in south Africa.
The roobios bush.
Thus the red color and lack of caffeine Image
