Also, you said you saw a GI doctor, but you do not mention seeing a colon and rectal surgeon on any of your posts that I can see (by the way, if you stayed on just the one post it would make it so much easier for us to give you any advice we have). You need to get something for the specific treatment of anal fissures...

Hi Shania,

Have you tried Movicol?

I can't really suggest anything else (re your PM) but I know that this has been the best solution for many on here.

Here is a good link for the different varieties of laxatives that might help you to see what's what :smilyhug:

http://www.badgut.org/information-centr ... laxatives/

Also, you spoke of getting some problems with the use of benzodiazepines. I tapered from 5mg down to 0.5, and I had tremors when using them at a higher dose. Now I am not sure when I shake (usually first thing in the morning, my hands shake a little) whether it's the small dosage that I still take for sleeping, or just that I need my coffee :bouncer: I had meningitis as a child, and have always had a slight tremor in my hands though.

Hi sorry for delay

Realised I was getting anxiety from the stool softners..they were causing anxiety symptoms. Ive stopped taking them and now I feel more myself but the anal spasms are back full force.

I will look into what you have suggested.
