Prolapse mesh operation

Postby sue30uk » 02 Oct 2017, 12:03

Hello all,
This is not for me but for someone I know. She is due to have an operation to sort her anal prolapse out but she has been told they will be using mesh. Has anyone had this operation or know anything about the use of mesh?
Sue :)

If it's the mesh sold by Johnson & Johnson then it's best to think twice before getting the surgery since there have been many cases of women disabled by these meshes. Supposedly the use of the mesh avoids multiple surgeries but comes with another risk attached.
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy
