You have been the pillar of strength for all of us, so let us be here to listen to you and help in any way we can. Are you on any meds for the abcess? Take it easy and take care of your self ok?

Lecia,
I just heard about your surgery poor girl....
I had exactly the same series of events and the surgery about 5 years ago. Not a fun experience . So, I know exactly what you're going through . It really hurts for a while .
As I remember , that area heals pretty quickly after that kind of surgery and you should be feeling alot better in a week or two.
In the mean time - we'll all wish and hope it to heal even quicker than that .
Good luck girl - we're with you .

Lecia - I really do wish you a speedy recovery! I hope you feel better soon and I am praying for you like always!
A while back, I started a few posts that talked about a burning/poking sensation in my bum....I thought it was an infection, but now I am thinking it could be these hemmies that I didn't know about until yesterday...any thoughts? I am quite sure I don't have an infection, because I am not in a whole lot of pain.

Thanks everyone! Can you tell me about your experience, John and how you handled it? Any advice or just something to make me feel like I am not the only one would be nice.

Jen,
it is possible you have enlarged hemorrhoids. Everyone has them but they are graded by stages. Stage 1 is flat to stage 4 being they are always out and cannot be manually reduced. They usually will reserve surgery for those who are at 3 and 4.

Lecia - When you say surgery, do you mean the surgery you had or RBL? Is RBL a good choice for grade #2 - or should I leave mine alone?
John - I didn't know you had problems befor this fissure! Please share!
