I used it today and seemed liked it helped. I also shower and take a hot bath aftr every BM so i get the area clean. I cant have a BM without a bath, noway. I have to hold it until i get home so i can use the tub. The pain is just too bad to try and do this at work. Hopefully i can change the patterns of my movements to nighttime.

I agree. There is no way I could have a bm without a hot bath waiting for me. I use vaseline beforehand and after my bath then I apply the diliz...cream. I got prescribed Lidocaine cream which has an anaesthetic effect. I still prefer vasoline beforehand though? Good luck trying to change ur bowel habits till night time. I haven't managed to do it and wish I could!!

I can't do it at night, but I have managed to time it perfectly for the morning... As soon as I get up I eat a bowl of hot oatmeal, by the time I'm done it never fails and I'm ready to go. I head upstairs to the bathroom, start to fill the bath and then I make a BM.... by the time I'm done the bath is about ready an I hop in... all this completed before I leave for work in the morning! Seems to be keeping the fissure somewhat bearable until I have my LIS this Thursday.

Try a vegetable Oil..
Corn oil works good.. All you need is like two drops.
Vegetable oils have a natural anti-inflammatory enzyme in them..

I was given Lidocaine ,a numbing gel. I put that on if i feel a BM coming. I didnt poop all day yesterday ,I think for fear,so I expected constipation,I finally went this morning and bowels were nice n soft.Still alot of blood.I too skip wiping and get right in the shower to clean. No way could I poop anywhere else than home.
