Any one with hidden fissures??

Postby dwarfs8 » 29 Aug 2011, 04:17

Currently i have 3 sites which i have some pain/irritation (left, right beside 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock). My CRS can see the one on the left, but he can't see the rest, said they are probably hidden deeper in the canal... was thinking if anyone like me?
Am thinking will such hidden fissures heal the same as those visible?

Hi Dwarf,
I don't think it's that uncommon to not be able to see your fissure/ fissures. I never saw mine.

Has your CRS did an internal exam, like with a scope, etc?
I only had one fissure but the pain was all over the place. There's so many nerves in that area Image
Hey dwarf,
come to think of it, I have read of other folks on this forum who didn't actually get diagnosed with another fissure/ fissures until they has LIS and it was easier to see by their CRS.

nope, nv had a chance cos i'm still painful. My CRS is very careful with me, always mention that it's not wise to put a scope in yet, cos may further damage the fissures. The recent one he managed to put in his finger to check, and THANK GOD, no lumps, no pus, no bleeding, no scar tissue as he mentioned...

Hey Dwarf,
Yes, when I saw my CRS back in April, he couldn't see a single fissure (I had 2 distinct sites), but when he did a digital exam, he felt spasming, so concluded I did have one.
I'm seeing him again on 7th Sept (finally - it was meant to be within 8 weeks, but it's the good old NHS for me!), and am worried that he won't see one again, and declare me healed, even though I don't think I have. With the magic of diltiazem and movicol it's all manageable, but if I forget (eg when I was on holiday), then I'm bleeding again, which suggests it's still there.
