DILTIAZEM = a calcium channel blocker. In the treatment of fissures it is given in ointment/gel form and it works by relaxing the muscle around the anus (the anal sphincter), thereby reducing the anal pressure and increasing the blood flow to the area to allow healing to occur.
NIFEDIPINE = a calcium channel blocker. It is used in the same way.
