hey orange...
Seconding what these folks have said... make an appointment with a colorectal surgeon. Sounds like you have the thing i have, which is a small tear on the outside of the anal ring. You DON'T want this to get worse.
I'd also use miralax (over the counter... clones are clearlax and laxaclear) to make your bms soft like toothpaste squeezing out (yes, i know, bad image)... you have to play with the dosages, and don't be afraid to split the dose, 1/2 in the morning, half in the evening, only take a 1/2 dose... drink a ton of water (i'm peeing all the time now) and eat lots of bm friendly food, there are lists of them here.
good luck!!! Image

Thanks everyone! I talked to my dad and he will be taking me to a new doctor as soon as figure out some mortgage stuff!
So at the latest I ca probably go to the doctor in a month. I'll keep everyone updated!
And I have been using safeway stool softeners, it's not super soft coming out but pretty much normal feeling.

Glad to hear you are getting professional help. BTW, the Safeway version of MiraLAX is called ClearLAX. I use one capful per day, combined with one heaping tablespoonful of Metamucil (Safeway has a generic version of that as well). These, and a diet that is made up of mostly chicken and cooked veggies, with some oatmeal added gives me that consistently soft stool that I want for healing.

So some news on this, I found out my hospital is walk in and will try to go this weekend to get it checked! It's been pretty normal but sometimes I feel like the stool softener makes my stool come out funny and makes me feel like I have diarrhea? It goes away shortly after it's kind of weird it only is when I use the stool softener tho.
I was going to go last week but I started my period early and couldn't really go.. I'll update with the news this weekend! Thanks again to everyone.

Glad to see you back. If you're suffering from a fissure, you want your stool to be about the consistency of soft serve ice cream, not really diahrrea, but fairly soft all the same. You can adjust your dosage too.
I'm also glad that you're going to see a doctor. My first fissure was pretty much healed with Nitro ointment, but this last time required surgery. Don't go through any pain you don't have to!
Take care and let us know what the docs have to say.

So I haven't been tot he doctor yet, but I have talked to my dad and grandma and things keep getting in the way of me going...after next week my dad will find out what his new health insurance is and I will be getting a new female doctor if she takes the insurance? I hate that I keep not getting the chance to go but I've been fine.
I only bled once recently but besides that I feel completely normal, only very rarely do I feel sore after BM. I have been using baby whipes..and I think Its actually healing because I feel so much better now and haven't been having tons of fiber or taking stool softeners!
Does it sound like I'm healing? Or am I just being over optimistic?

I went to the doctor today and she well uh inspected me in there with a little scope thing and all, she even looked through my stool I guess?
There was some blood tiny bit in the corner off my anus I guess, no anal fissure, no roid, but they said I had a skin tag on my anus that was most likely from an old hemorrhoid. She gave me a prescription for some depositories and says if that doesn't work to take me to a specialist. Sad everything looked very healthy so I'm assuming I'm just recovering. So everything sounds okay.

Sounds like a minor fissure with sentinel tag.
How does the doctor explain your recent symptoms on roids if there is no evidence of such ? Doesn't make sense.
Hope you improve, and sounds like you are doing well.
But it's important to maintain a good diet and get on the right meds (GTN, diltiazem) if you get a recurrence.
Get seen by a specialist if this continues.

Fissures can be small enough to be missed on an examination, even by an experienced doctor. If you are having symptoms, there is something that is causing it, even if she can't see it on exam. I agree with cumfy . If you continue to have problems please consider being seen by a colorectal specialist.
