Well good news to report. My rear end in pain free again! I believe most if not all of the stitches have desolved. I do not have any more pain in the hemmie site. BMs are back to being painless. No fissure related issues at all. I am going to start backing off the stool softeners and fiber pills again and hopefully be done with them next week. I am not claiming complete victory yet, but I am as close as I have been since my surgeries.
On an unrelated note, I had a small gum graph last week on one of my canine teeth. This was a complete cakewalk compared to the LIS and hemmie removal. But neither of those were terrible either. It's amazing how fast your mouth heals. Will write again soon!

Tojo iam scheduled for May 13th for open LIS. Have you noticed any seemingly permanent changes in bowel movements? My doc mentioned some patients can feel different down there for a really long time. Once the fissure is healed and my wounds are healed can I expect a complete return to normalcy. Like as if I had never had a fissure or surgery?
