Nifedipine makes my anus itch

... to heal an anal fissure. I've been taking nifedipine for about 8 weeks, and my anal fissure has not healed. The nifedipine makes my anus itch. Is it normal for nifedipine to make a person's anus itch? What does the fact that nifedipine makes my anus itch indicate?

What's the difference between itch and spasm?

Are itching and spasms the same or different?
Like prolonged intense itching. Would that be a spasm? Kinda makes you jump at some points.

Or does a spasm feel differently?

Yesterday I felt pain. All day.

Today I feel more intense itch.

After weeks of suffering, I saw a second colorectal surgeon. This one didn't find a fissure, however, he did diagnose me with a bad case of Pruritis Ani (or "itchy butt.") Which explains why heat was a killer, but ice felt cool, And why the ointment Diltiazem exacerbated my situation. He s...

Please read!!!! Aveeno anti-Itch Calamine with pramoxine

I had been suffering with anal fissure for eight months when I accidentally discovered this stuff! I definitely had to learn what aggravated me like alcohol or too many bowel movements in a day...and I had to learn to keep a careful routine to give myself a chance to heal. That included a stool soft...
