Re: Bit the bullet & had LIS surgery and skin tag removal

PC - I completely understand how you feel!! Before this, I was a fairly healthy eater in general but I really, really loved spaghetti and all things pasta, which is something that I haven't really had since this whole thing started. You look at food, and the first thing you think to yourself is...w...

Re: General Surgeon for Sphincterotomy???

Hey PC, I would have to say definitely go with a board certified colorectal surgeon with a lot of experience who has done this procedure many times successfully. I think this is extremely crucial because it's a sensitive area and colorectal surgeons have more experience with these things since it's ...

Re: Surgery in 2 days!

Yes, my doctor prescribed me Keterolac in addition to the hydrocodone-acetaminophen. Keterolac also helps with pain but also reduces inflammation because after the surgery, things down there can feel a little swollen. But I think you're fine with just the hydrocodone if that's what the doctor prescr...

Re: Surgery in 2 days!

Congrats Sabrina on getting through your surgery! I also had LIS/skin tag removal 7 days ago. I've never had a sigmoidoscopy but had a colonoscopy a week before my surgery to rule out anything else. Like you, I was also prescribed hydrocodone-acetametaphin. I only needed it the first 3 days after su...

Chachacha - Yes, like you, I have also opted for tub baths for 20 minutes a day, 3x a day with the showerhead rinse after a BM! Thank you so much for the well wishes!! Would you say that you are fully healed now 14 months later? I hope you are and things continue to go smoothly ;) Canadabum - Toasti...

Hey all, After 7 months of pure hell and agony, I finally decided to do it. Quick summary of my journey: After an extremely stressful time in my life last year, I developed an AF in Sept 2015. Went through about 5 different gastros & CRS. Misdiagnosed as hemorrhoids at first, then finally treate...

Re: LIS...so many questions!! Scared, nervous wreck.

Hi CB, you have always been someone on this board who has always been so very helpful. Thank you so much as you don't know how much it means to me. LIS...so many questions!! Scared, nervous wreck.

Hi friends, I've been suffering from an AF since September 2015...so about 7 months now. It's been really rough as you all must know - completely changed my overall quality of life. I was on Nifedipine and Miralax for 13 weeks and things seemed to be looking up. I was able to have a BM without pain....
