Finally saw my CRS.

It's been over 4 years since I went to the CRS. Finally saw him this morning and I was scared to death. He was very kind and did not do an internal exam. We went over everything and basically my problems all stem from the hemorrhoid surgery I had over 30 years ago. He sat and talked with me for 45 m...

Just a thought.

I think it's wonderful to have this forum to speak with people who have the same problems and the suggestions and advice people share is so helpful. I would like to see people finish when they post a topic on their surgery. Too many times someone will post their experience and then never tell us if ...

Stressed Out

I had LIS 4 years ago and it only helped a little. Things are still very tight in the area. I need an advancement flap mostly because of scar tissue but haven't worked up the courage to do it. I watch what I eat and drink and take care of myself but I sometimes get this charlie horse feeling up the ...

Advancement flap surgery.

Years ago I had hemmies surgery that left me with stenosis. I had LIS 4 years ago and it only helped a little bit. My fissure is back and the spasms are awful at times. Thank god for miralax. My next best option is an anal flap advancement to make the anal opening larger and to remove the fissure. W...

Quick question about Miralax

I use Miralax nightly, a few weeks ago there was a recall at Sam's club on it so I had to get the generic for the first time. I tried it three different times and each time I woke up with cramps and the other night diarrhea all night. The ingredients look the same but for some reason it doesn't work...

Saw my gastro dr. yesterday.

I had to wait a while but finally got into see my gastro dr. It's been over a year because I've been seeing the CRS. She's such a nice dr. She told me that my fissure was the largest and deepest she'd ever seen. I told her that the LIS helped some but not completely and we discussed the flap advance...

Question about sudden pain.

Hi, I had a retear a few weeks ago and seem to be on the mend, at least I hope. Yesterday while I was out shopping I got this sudden pain in the butt on the left side. It wasn't like the fissure pain but felt more like I got punched in the butt, it was like a throbbing ache. I went to the restroom a...

Tears after LIS

Hi, I was just at the CRS and the digital exam was so painful. He said I have a little tear and I don't think his exam helped. I had LIS almost a year ago so the tear doesn't bother me like before. I have a narrowing and he said even after LIS I would probably get small tears from time to time becau...

Bad News

I'm very upset. Just got back from the CRS, a follow up from my LIS surgery almost a year ago. My fissure healed but I was still having pain and spasms sometimes. Turns out it's what the CRS called a mild stenosis from an old surgery and when I have a bm the area doesn't stretch much at all so I sti...

Has anyone discovered LAVA BUNS?

I just bought this cushion usually used for sporting events. It has this plastic liner you heat in the microwave and then insert it back in the cushion. It's nice and warm and I use it to help relax the butt muscles. It's great. You can take it anywhere with you and it doesn't cost much. The cushion...
