My crs said that it can cause kidney damage if not enough water is drunk when it is taken.

Mine was massive and went right up to the muscle. But size is irrelevant - some people can have a huge one with very little pain, some have very small ones and are in agony. I think it depends on it's location. Mine is at 4 o clock.

They look like original flavour but can't be sure!
Could you get it in a chemist? they all sell it!

How long have you had the fissure for? Have you got any of the healing creams?
If you get a retear just treat it like you would the first time - up the stool softeners, take salty baths, up water intake and use the cream again until it heals again.

I took acidophillus for ages when I first got my fissure - but it didn't do much good!

What kind of pain is it? Is there bleeding?
If it was me I would ask to be referred to a colo-rectal surgeon to know for definite what's going on.

Alot of us fissure sufferers are the over-anxious type! Myself included!
Try not to worry too much. I have non-healing fissures and reocurring fistulas but no underlying condition.
