No, I never tried them. I am not impressed with the "ingredient" list - nothing new except Comfrey. I know that that herb is used mostly for outside injuries. I also found this "Because comfrey may contain PAs, which have caused cancer and liver damage in animal studies, and because the root contains it in higher concentration than the leaves, internal use is not suggested."
I wish they made them with Calendula, Uses of Calendula
Numerous
topical preparations exist for external use. Calendula salve, for
example, is a useful and versatile product to keep in the first-aid kit
or home medicine chest. In addition to treating minor cuts and
abrasions, the salve is great for chapped lips and diaper rash. You can
use calendula teas as a mouthwash for gum and tooth infections, a
gargle for sore throats and tonsillitis, and a sitz bath for genital
inflammation or hemorrhoids. Or drink the tea to help treat bladder
infections or stomach ulcers.

Or Chamomile , Whte Oak and so many other that are safe and have anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties too
Image !!! Maybe I should start making them  lol.
Juney, dear, you may try them as emolients before BM , but I would not use them for long time internaly because of the Comfrey Image
Best of luck Image

We don't have this over here...I am not impressed with the medical profession who hasn't come with a good cure for fissures. I wish all CRS could have fissures for a while, I guess then they would come up with a miracle cure!!!!!

Wordy Mcword to that, Corsi-fissures all around to the CRSs
I have used calendula and Fissy's special tincture down there. That might be a good place to start. I also like A&D ointment. All my sweatpants smell like this now.

i've also used calendula ointment. it's frustrating b/c it's impossible to know what works and how long you should use it before giving up and trying something new...

Inshallah, May the Great One protect my last CRS from your curses Image Image Image !LOL
Juney - with natural (herbal) supplements you have to be very patient - they work with your body trying to put it back in balance and are very gentle. You would probably need at least couple of months of religious use to see any significant result, but on the other hand - they are very safe to use and can be combined with regular meds. My "bathroom concotions" really helped me a great deal during healing period both times.
Just never give up trying and exploring - one never knows what might help !!! Image

i guess i'm afraid if i don't notice immediate improvement, that something i'm trying might make things worse. i just can't be patient even though i know i should be.
i got some nitro from val and i was gonna try your concoction. i'll look up the ingredients again and give it a try. thanks fiss.

just wanted to post an update on this...i ordered the fissureheal suppositories online. $76 for 25 suppositories, including shipping costs!!! when they arrived at my house they were melted and smashed. they are the consistency of sand and the one suppository i tried irritated the heck out of my a**.
so just as a follow-up...don't try these suppositories. WASTE OF MONEY.

Dear Forum Members,
I have just come across this posting and would really like the chance to provide a view from 'the other side', if I may. First of all, keep in mind that Jini (the creator of FissureHeal) provides people with several options for healing anal or rectal fissures and they are given in detail on her site.
I'm not able to post an external link due to the newness of this account but if you Google Listen to Your Gut and click the top result, you'll see a drop-down menu on the left side of the page that says "heal your symptoms here" and "an anal fissure" is one of the options.
Some of these treatments are low or no-cost - for example, she gives you exact instructions for how to make your own fresh aloe vera suppositories from a live plant.
Secondly, this post is just one person's experience and we have testimonials from many more who experienced great healing with FissureHeal, so just something to keep in mind. I also can assure you that we only ship these suppositories in refrigerated boxes and ice packs during the summer, or to hot countries, and if something like a meltdown occurred, we would definitely take steps to make sure things were put right with the customer, if and when they contacted us.
Anyway, thanks for listening and have a great day!
