Nerve damage

Postby SurvivorX » 21 Feb 2016, 17:26

Dear fellow sufferers.
Let`s talk about Nerve damage and share some experience.
My fissure was finally closed on my 6th op - but nerve pain is still there with me on my every movement.
Will it never heal or it just needs more time - 2 months went by since the operation - AF is closed - confirmed by 2 different parties but nerve pain is still there from damaged nerves. Im reading some nerves will fully heal with time - others will not - does this mean the pain will stay forever?
Thank you

Survivor I don't know the answer but my GP seems to think nerves heal in time however I have been searching the net and some patients have been told it takes 60 months for the nerve to 'die' and so therefore the pain will only be alleviated when the nerve dies. Give yourself time though it's only been 2 months

I've been a year of being declared healed but get daily pain . But everyone is different...
Suffering since June 2013

Methods tried:
GTN cream - migraines!
Manuka Honey / Coconut oil / Aloe
tag excision X 2, botox x 3
Dilatiazem
dilatation 2 X daily + Retin-C Vitamin Scar Treatment Oil 2 X daily - best thing ever.
Now pain free 2/7/21

I can hardly imagine going through this nightmare for 5 more years.
