Trauma related and almost at the end of the road

Postby positivesun » 13 Apr 2016, 12:15

Hello everyone,

First let me say that everyone who helps here is an angel. I had no idea this existed and will never take my health for granted again. I have read everything on this forum and around the web. I was hoping someone could add some advice to my situation :/

2/12 me and my gf (I am a male) decide to experiment with a prostate massage. Everything seemed to be going good until I felt two really sharp pains. However there was no blood so we kept going. Over the next few weeks I had a ton of perennial pain and no one could diagnose what happened to me.

3/12 I finally went to a colon rectal specialist who located two anal fissures. He said my anus is really tight and prescribed me nifedipine 2% and said I should be healed in a month. I am very health conscious and prefer to avoid medicine at all costs so I chose to try and heal naturally. Over the next few weeks things started to get better until I felt like I was almost healed. I was constantly applying coconut oil in and around the opening.

4/4 I wasn't careful and stopped my treatment, I pushed really hard during a BM and I irritated everything again. Now I am starting to get depressed/annoyed.

Currently I only feel "something" (not too painful but I definitely feel the cuts) during a BM on the inside, sometimes I will spasm and have tightness down there but it is no where near as bad as it use to be.

My questions are;
1) I have never had any blood? Is this normal for an anal fissure?

2) I went and picked up my nifedipine prescription. Since my case is from sexual trauma, and since I am "tight" down there, do you think the nifedipine is worth a shot?

Thank you so much for any help or advice God bless all of you.

:wel:

Sorry that you are dealing with this...but glad you found us.

Nifedipine is a very mild drug that will have no side effects or interactions with your body so I would definitely get some and use it 2-3x daily. All it does is lower the resting pressure of your internal sphincter muscle to allow for increased blood flow to the area. It is this blood flow that should heal you. Some people augment the nifedipine by sitting on heating pads etc to help stimulate blood flow to the area.

As for no bleeding - yes it is possible and consider yourself lucky :D

Stick with the nifedipine for a solid 8 weeks even if you feel cured. In this situation an ounce of prevention is truly worth many many pounds of cure!

Good luck!
