PPIs and anal problems

I have been on Prevacid or Nexium for some time now for my GERD. I was wondering if there has been anything to show a correlation between long term PPI use and anal fissures/pain/burning/itching????

I have not come across any info on this front...seems like a pretty technical medical question...you may want to spend some time on google as well as consulting your doc(s)

Thanks Canadabum. Will do more research. I don't have much faith in the docs having an answer to this question. They never seem to want to blame the pills if you know what I mean.
