Why can't the specialist see the fissure

Postby hurtinend » 11 Jun 2017, 20:18

Saw a CRS last week, full examination. Told me I had all symptoms of fissure, but he said he didn't see anything after his exam. Told him I've been seeing blood on an off for months....where is it coming from????? He didn't answer.

Sent me off with Nifedipine. Said I could possibly have pelvic pain syndrome.

Frustrated is me. About ready to give up this endless search for an answer, some light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm also puzzled by the nature of this ailment (AF), which doesn't seem to have an exact etiology, and has an unusually poor healing rate, the reasons for which are also not fully understood. I suppose the presence of bleeding just indicates that healing has not yet happened - you would think a CRS would be able to tell you something about that, though.

I occasionally get the impression that this is a condition that is a lot less well researched than many others, for reasons that may have something to do with the part of the body it affects - at some psychological level there are still taboos and stigmas associated with it, and these are passed on to the medical community at some stage in the process of education.

Of course, I may be entirely wrong about that, I don't know. Just a theory.
