Is Judo allowed 3 months post LIS

Postby AJStyles » 10 Jul 2017, 16:07

Almost 4 months ago i had LIS for the second time, the fissure is healed but the incision site (Open wound from surgery) is still there. So i sitll have some pain after BM. I am in a Judo club since years, would i be allowed to go back there? Judo is a sport where you get thrown around like Wrestling, and you also land on your ass kind of. (Not on a hard floor though) What do you guys think?

Better to wait until the incision site is fully healed so you don't delay your healing further. Judo will still be waiting for you when you're healed.
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy

Hmm alright...what could be delaying my healing process though? Doctor expected faster progress..But if the Fissure is healed, do i need to worry? I think getting the incision site healed is much easier than getting fissure healed. I mean fissures dont heal without Surgery if they are chronic. I know that mine wouldnt heal without a surgery. Now its healed, thank god, so maybe i should have patience.

I think different people just heal at different rates and doctors can't really predict what will happen. I'd recommend a good diet, mild exercise and plenty of sleep while your body works hard to heal itself.
