Prolapse mesh operation

Postby sue30uk » 02 Oct 2017, 12:07

Hello all,
I am far from new to the site and have been suffering fissures etc for 7 years (groan!) but making an enquiry on behalf of a friend. She has a rectal prolapse and is due to have an operation with mesh. Does anyone know about the use of mesh for this type of operation? Advantages/disadvantages?
Sue :)

Hi I have a couple of friends with colostomies who have had the mesh over a hernia repair. They seemed to heal well....I'm sorry I don't know more about it but it certainly has made the area more stable for both my friends
Fissures for 7 years I really feel for you
