What should I expect from gradual seton tightening?

Postby IgotEverything » 02 Feb 2018, 15:29

My Dr decided to go through the route of tightening band of the seton placement every couple of weeks, which from what I understand, also cuts through the rectal muscle.
What should I expect from this process?
More swelling and pain?
Is the pain unmanageable without pain medication?
How long until the pain goes down after each tightening?
Will I be able to sit/stand or am I heading back to bed for prolonged periods of time?
Just wondering. I can't afford to lose my job.
