No, I am happy to say I don't usually have any pain with bm's. :D

My challenge is keeping everything right, if you know what I mean. Sometimes the Miralax works too well, but I think the fiber supplements are helping stabilize things overall. I usually only go twice a day. :D

i dont think it's a good idea to take prunes or any fruits/veg for that matter before going to bed. metabolism slows down while sleeping and food starts rotting in your stomach.

The symptom you describe, the bowels not completely emptying, is probably a symptom of an internal yeast infection. The stuck poop is actually one of causes of the fissure, and it's a better idea to take longer on the bowl, and even use a little pressure, to get rid of the stuff. You'll feel better after a couple of days, is my guess.
For the yeast, you will need high quantities of high quality acidophilus. You will also need to stay away from dairy, sugar, bear, and wheat. Yeast hates garlic, so eating garlic could help. I would check with my doctor about the yeast, anyway.
Keep me posted.

Corsi,
I think pressure is very BAD for fissures (and hemrroids as well). That's what my doc told me.

Pressure is definitely a bad thing. That's how I re tore my fissure, and my recovery was sent back to square one.
