Post fistulotomy experience

Postby Macao » 10 Nov 2018, 02:37

Hello everyone! I have been reading all the forums about post fistulotomy. I had low fistula, simple surgery 7weeks ago. No other bad signs but there is still a pus drainage everyday about 4-6xday that keeps worry and thinking that the fistula tract is still there.. the wound is amost half healed but the wound near in my butt hole is quite still there, taking quite sometime to heal. is there anything to worry about? Did someone experience this also? Iam all worried about the pus discharge because thats the only symptoms i had before surgery..quite thick greenish color at times..

I think that area in general takes a while to heal and get back to normal. If you're concerned about it then definitely get in touch with your doctor. Maybe they can prescribe something to speed up the healing process. In the meantime, get enough sleep, have a well balanced diet and keep stress low to give your body the support it needs.
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy
