Fissure and weed?

Postby Deleted User 7536 » 14 Dec 2018, 10:21

Hello everyone. I’ve recently diagnosed myself with a fissure (too afraid of a rectal exam) as I’m certain from what I’m feeling and reading online. I’m 3 weeks into it and was slowly feeling better everyday until I smoked some weed last night. As soon as the high hit me it’s like it tore all over again. The pressure and pain was almost worse than the first day I got this and I even had some trouble urinating. So basically I’m having to start the healing process all over again. I used to smoke daily but now I know it aggravates the fissure. Has anyone else experienced this from smoking or heard of something like this?

Thanks for the help

Did you cough? That is what triggers it for me and weed.

Nope just seems to make things tight and spasm to the point of re-tear. Haven’t touched the stuff in almost a month. It’s been hard but not worth it at this point. At least until I feel healed. Weird..

I'm experiencing something very similar.

Do you still have the issue?

Unless it's making you anxious/nervous, and subsequently tensing, I honestly can't see how this is possible. I would have thought it would make you relax more.

I completely agree. In theory it should. I've been a daily smoker for 18 years. Never any problems. I exercise, I teach, I sing and smoked thru sickness and health etc. Again, no problems. But during the worst days of my fissure, I realise that smoking made it sting more.

And I just had a laser fissurectomy about 5 weeks ago.. And I smoked a week after the procedure and I felt the same thing. Again I tried 4 weeks post procedure and had problems the day after, but it may have been compounded with the fact that I had a huge proportion of food that day as well.

So I will wait a bit more and experiment with a vaporiser and see if it's the smoke or the Marijuana.

Also, I'm 2 metres tall...6 ft 7inches..and I find my hands get cold after I smoke weed.. I think it lowers my blood flow so that may be something to think about. Other than that it is quite puzzling.

Thanks for your input
