Prune juice

Postby davminos » 01 Feb 2022, 14:01

Does a glass of prune juice in morning work as good as a stool softener such as miralax or other softener? I'd like to stop the miralax and take prune juice but not sure how well it would work, thanks for any responses.

I think prune juice is a lot harder to titrate compared to miralax. Plus it is a stimulant laxative compared to miralax which means dependency could develop. Eating a moderate amount of prunes is a safer option.
