Omega 3 and 6 are good for healing, I took it in the form of flaxseed oil which has anti-inflammatory properties and helps with constipation.

I started to take evening primrose oil to help with period pains a month ago, and the tablets I am taking have vitamin E in. Literally a week after taking them my fissure has improved, and when a CRS looked at it said it was now superficial. I was told Vitamin E was good for healing. This may be a coincidence as I am doing all the other stuff, but who knows!! Have just started taking multivitamins too, partly as I keep getting loads of infections and am trying to build up my 'collapsed' immune system! Don't know for definite if Vit E works, just sharing my experience! :)

I know Val! Realised I may be getting complete overload of Vitamin E when looking at what was in my tablets!! But it seems to be helping so am keeping going. Boots doing a 3 for 2 on vitamins at the mo, may be cheaper than holland and barratt! I've taken primrose oil for years, but after my op and everything stopped it for a while :)
