Today Back to pain

Postby Peter4pm » 02 Sep 2011, 07:51

Well after yesterdays sort of slightly jaggy bowel movement , im proud to say that today that its now back to the breaking glass bowel movement feeling along with a good dose of pain for the remainder of the day and night i guess , Ah well it was good while it lasted ...3 weeks this time of no pain ...might only get a week next time lol , well you have to laugh about it or you would just want to cry.
I just hope im at least able to sit down ..i just cant stand it when it gets to that stage of not being able to sit down
Well suppose its time to keep myself occupied to try and block out the pain.

Aww, that's what's cruel about a fissure - as soon as you think you've beaten it, back it comes!
Could you try valium? Some stronger painkillers? Sit in a warm bath, or sit on a hot water bottle?
Anything is worth a try!

Peter, I suffered with constipation hence, fissures. I started taking 2 satchets a day for 1st three days and then all hell let loose. I had running water Image So, I now use 1 satchet after my tea and touch wood it is ace! Bit of stinging sometimes but I don't feel like I am pushing a red hot cannon ball wrapped in barbed wire out anymore....jajajajaj Oh the joys!

I find 2L of water a day with Movicol the best. I admit I don't always do that as I find water hard to drink lol. I am getting away with couple of coffee's and 1L water a day. Better if it was alcoholic! Wudn't find it a problem then! ha ha ha

I have IBS and have to be careful with what I have. I take lactulose in the morning (v small amount - thats for constipation though). I then take 1 dulcoease stool softener at night (docusate sodium). It says to take 3 tablets a day but with my IBS and previous experience/problems with fybogel I started with one tablet. This seems to have helped alot with softening. It may not work for you, just passing on my experience :)
