Good luck Tony! This should be a breeze compared to your past week so we look forward to hearing from you shortly. Yah...Fleetville...been there...on the bathroom floor, alone in that most akward position. Didn't make the ride to the surgery center any fun :-\

Praying, for you!!!
I was not informed to do fleet. Dr. just said nothing to eat or drink after midnight! But the morning of surgery, I was so nervous it made me pass any way LOL. I'M on the mend. Praise God!!!! See you on the other side.

Day #1, home. Just got back from riding my bike. Just kidding. But I would say like everyone else. The fear made it worse. Less sore than when we left but i am guessing that's the pain med talking. Not looking forward to the next two days but on my way. Find a good dr! Mine surgeon cauterized the fissure, said it was large. Sore but manageable. Hopefully the next few days will be manageable. Thanks to you all I will make sure to stay ahead of pain and get my fiber and mirilax in. Thanks and I will keep you posted.

Congratulations Tony! Way to go! Image Image
Glad to hear you're staying on top of the pain and taking those stool softeners! That'll make all the difference! Don't worry about that first BM either. It's not nearly as bad as we worry it will be. Just take deep breaths and relax. Soon you will feel so much better!

Damn, my joke didnt work.. Lol, I thought it was funny because the first bottle was still half full, I guess once there was more room she was able to empty the second. My CRS did what he called a fissurectomy. He doesnt cut it like some do, which from what I read is old school. He trys to either cauterize or glue the fissure. Maybe in some cases he cuts it, but from what he said, it doesnt make sense to "cut" a cut. I have been adding to my prayers, "Please help everyone on the anal support page, although I dont know there names in real life, you do lord." Hopefully it helps. Going to lay down now before the medication wears off. Thanks all, will post later. One word of advice to people getting the surgery, I obsessed and read this message board constantly, as I was not sleeping for days and days but I think I made myself worry even more. IF your gonna read, read the postives only.

Day 2 not terrible but I have not had a BM yet so I will be trying a little MOM in the AM. Some wetness when farting and I have only sat for 10 mins at a time. Did try to get my veg, fiber etc today. Took 4 ibuprofen around 9 but nothing else. Let's see what Sunday brings, I am expecting more pain with my BM. JUST HOPING I am not constipated.
Stay tuned for next update.

Day 3: ok, today I had about 5 BM. Ranging from toothpaste to flat out
diarrhea. None were painful and as gross as it is, last night I had 4
marbles fall out of me. Lol. I think most of today was because I have
been doing AM and PM Miralax. Might back off that some starting Monday,
maybe a half in AM&PM. I have not touched my high powered pain
relievers since Friday. Just ibuprofen. My wife said my ass is really
bruised. I read about that from others but why? What do the dr do to
cause it? I was out completely, for all I know there could be hot
wheels in there. I have a full feeling down there that makes me feel
like I have to go. It's not terrible , more annoying. I have slept the
past two nights! I expect pain, but as of today 58 hours out it hasn't
been more than a 1 or 2. Pre surgery it was off the chart. Keeping up
with fiber and going easy on diet. Finally have my wife making pudding!
Yeah. I think my problem at this point is I have little pain and want
to do stuff. BUT I am doing my sits, not driving and mostly laying down
and not pushing it. I want to enjoy this for as long as it lasts. I am
sure some setbacks are in my future. Getting in the shower after each
BM and there is still sOme itching. I have a wife that helps me so God
bless her. I know a lot of wives that would not.
