Cultivate good bowel habits

I personally find that it's very important to develop good bowel habits that has helped me to almost heal my fissure:-
1. having BM(s) at around the same time of the day.
2. drink water first thing in the morning. Warm water helps.
3. walk around before your BM to encourage urge
4. rub from lower abdominal to upper abdominal clockwise in circular motions while walking. This helps to encourage urge.
5. Hold ur urge for a little while till you can't anymore and go right away. This helps to reduce the sitting time at the toilet bowl, so that once you hit that cold hard toilet seat, the stools will just slide out.
6. Breathe in and breathe out, focus on your breathing the whole time when you are at the toilet bowl. This helps to relax your anus and ease tension which we all knows make everything worse!
7. Do not force urself if there's no more urge after probably just one piece or so, it only means your bowels are not ready. Wash up and move around again. Listen to your bowels, don't force it.
Normally urges are greatest in the morning after you just woke up and also after a large meal. So try to cultivate your BMs around these.
