Thanks so much, I guess I'll be happy when it's over? I sure hope laying around in bed with a new slice in my butt will be better than laying around today super nervous and anxious about surgery?

Hey Lurker! don't worry. The surgery will go brilliantly and you will be happy you did it. As Dawn says, stool softener, painkillers for the first few days, fissure-friendly food and lots of rest. Soon you will be healed and all of this will be a distant memory! :D

oh Lurker, you're going to be happy. You'll be sore post-op. Just roll with the flow buddy. That little slice is a big miracle cure! It aint like a new fissure. It's relaxing that muscle and makes the old cut feel a lot better once you get through the post-op soreness...

ps... if your like I was, it will be a relief when it's over! I think the fear before was the worst part, Lol

Good luck tomorrow!! Just think in a week you will feel great, no more pooping glass and spasms for hours. Keep us posted on your post op. Get some well deserved rest, this will all be over in a flash!!
