Mountainman, I haven't been . . . but I'm going to ask my crs about that, when I see him next week.
Why don't these doctors prescribe the most effect medicine, from the start???
I hope I'm not taking too much magnesium - but I'm trying to get my muscles to relax . . .

Mountainman,
I notice your appointment isn't til March. Sometimes when I've been made to wait that long to see a specialist (usually because I am a new patient), it helps to call them every so often and have them check for cancellations.

Hang in there - give magnesium a ago...fingers crossed, though magnesium I hear is a tricky one. too much and you have diarrohea. I think I got it just right - 450mg, I'm 200lbs and 6ft.
Do you use nifedipine?

just to add on to the magnesium part. 400mg is the RDA for magnesium per day, so it should be safe. And besides keeping ur stools soft, magnesium is able to relax ur muscles, and thus relieving your spasms to a certain degree.
