Glad you're okay, Rich. You might want to read Sue's post (Sue1962), because she described her post surgery experience, for several days after her surgery.
Keep us posted on your progress.

Hey Rich YAY Image you are on your way!!! Glad your doing well. Yeah the baths are wonderful, I did four a day the fist 4 days...Just relax and don't worry about the BM, it will come. I didn't have one the day after my surgery but took two doses of Miralax and that really got things going. Kept it doubled for 3 or 4 days then went back to 1 cap a day. As sweet bugaboo said I posted my progress everyday from surgery to 1 wk. pretty uneventful thank god. Continue to heal, hope your pain is minimal...Glad you slayed the dragon!!!

Did you get LIS only or did they do anything directly for the fissure?

Things are better, as far as I know they just did the LIS. I will talk to the doctor in a week for a follow up and find out more. My wife was the one to talk to him after surgery and he said everything went well.
