Possible fast cure?

Postby RoudyAudi » 22 Jan 2012, 22:42

So it's only been a week for me, BUT I'm pretty sure I've come across something revolutionary for fissures. Coconut oil. I started using it on a whim about 3 or 4 days ago. Along with 3 20min sitz baths a day and a lot of Vaseline for BM's. Has anybody else tried this out? If not you really should.
Because...
1. There is no longer any discomfort.
2. No itching or burning
3. Hardly any pain during and after a BM. Though I'm still using Vaseline
4. Doesn't ache when I cough.
5. I can sit however I'd like with no weird feelings 'down there'
I think for just a week, that is pretty impressive.
Among a million other reasons it is beneficial. Health in general. Skin, hair, digestion and immunity.
I think this might be a savior to some of you guys :) I hope you'll try it out
How I use it is by actually drinking it. I put it in a smoothie or in some juice. Also I rub a little on the area.

Oh I go to a vitamin shop like GNC or the Vitamin Cottage. I dunno where you'd find it in the UK. Are there any places that specifically sell health foods and supplements? It should be reasonably priced too. I got mine for 15 bucks.

Grannymaria, you can honestly do it either way. Apply it directly to the area, it is not harmful. r you can drink it. It tastes bad by itself. So I'd mix it in a smoothie or some kind of juice. Or you can do both.

electric jaws, I'm in the UK. You can buy coconut oil in Asian food shops/supermarkets. There's a brand called KTC which makes it. It's cheap & commonly sold in bottles or less-commonly in tubs.
I know about its use as a hair conditioner but didn't realise it could help with a fissure. I'm definitely going to try it since my fissure has returned with a vengance.

For people in the UK you can buy it from any branch of Holland & Barratt or order it online:
http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/pages/product_detail.asp?pid=690&searchterm=cocnut%20oil&rdcnt=1
Personally my preference is Aloe Vera (Alcohol free)
