I'm new and a little confused. I didn't know, do mostly people have internal fissures? Mine is inside- no blood either- only pain, pain all day long. :( Does anyone else have internal fissure? Is the LIS done the same way for this? I am scheduled for surgery in 2 weeks exactly. As I type, feels like someone just stuck a little knife up my butt.

LIS is done the same way regardless of how far up the fissure occurs. Fissures can occur anywhere along the internal anal sphincter, so some of them are further up for some people and some of them are further down for others.
