I've only posted here a few times over the past year, but all of your messages and posts have been very meaningful to me.
I decided to have this procedure done because of the positive stories I've read from everyone here. I try to never complain about this problem, because I have family members and friends with far, far, worse health issues than this. In a way I feel fortunate that at turning 30 years old this summer, this is the worst health problem I have ever had.
Anyway, I appreciate all your support. I'm actually not nervous about this procedure. Actually, following having wisdom teeth removed and a colonoscopy, this is the 3rd time I'll be under anesthesia this year. It's almost a routine these days. Obviously, both of them were a breeze. The wisdom teeth are gone and I can chew food easier, and hopefully this fissure will be gone and I can dispose of said food with just as much ease. Too graphic? Sorry, I had to connect the two things somehow.
Again, I hope I follow up with everyone shortly with positive news. Thanks again.

It is Friday afternoon. I guess this is standard for this doctor so that people can go back to work on Monday.

Thanks 44 and Jax!
I'm recovering as expected. I've spent the weekend lounging around watching baseball.
The surgery wasn't so bad, though the anesthesia clogged up my nose and I've been congested the whole weekend. I was scared to death to poop but finally did and it wasn't too terribly bad. I feared a lot worse! So I'm still a little sore, but really no worse than I ever was with the fissure anyway.
Good luck on Thursday Jax! I'll be looking for posts on how it goes :)

Hi Claubson,
Sooo happy surgery is over and your home recovering...Congragulations Image .
Great that the bm wasn't too difficult to get through :D Sometimes I think that the anxiety we go through anticipating the worst with that first bm, can inevitably make it worse..so, glad that's over for you Image
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers , and hope you'll continue to keep us updated with your progress along the way Image
Best Wishes for comfort throughout your healing Image ,
