Hello,
I am suffering from Anal Fissure. Always having when passing stools and after passing stools.
Doctor prescribed me Glyceril Tinytrate. But had bad headache after using that. Although it completely vanished my pain.
So doctor changed it to Anoheal. Unfortunately Anoheal is not helping me that much. It causes some uneasiness in my anus, like cramps, as if some gas is stuck inside. But Anoheal is not giving me headache.
Do you think I should go back to Gylceril Tinytrate?

Hi I wonder if anyone can help, have had a reoccurring anal fissure for about 4 years now the last one was about nine months ago, which the usual prescribed medicine did not help so was given Anoheal which sorted it out in a few days.the fissure has come back after having a nine month break (hurrah) I have some Anoheal left which I am using but not sure if anyone else has the same problem but it burns a lot after using and now it's making inside seem sore??anal fissure seems a bit better but just wondering if that's a side effect of the Anoheal?anyone have any ideas or similar problems.....

I think Anoheal is the same thing as diltiazem. Lots of people can develop an intolerance to it.... An itchy sore rash. If that's what you think is happening, I would stop using it.
There are a few other creams out there you can get from your dr to try that don't seem to give the same reaction as the diltiazem.

fissure after hem banding and tag removal feb 11
Pelvic floor therapy
Diltiazem
Botox June 13
Nitro
Internal flap July 14
EUA and polyps removed Nov 14

Diagnosed with HS EDS type 3 (causes poor wound healing )

Yes, I am one who developed a very bad itchy burning rash with diltiazem. You can switch to nifedipine or nitroglycerine.
Good luck!
Nifedipine/lidocaine, no help
Diltiazem, effective, but caused major rash
Nitroglycerine, effective.
Topical estrogen for final healing.
Gentle heat to bottom - pain relief, muscle relaxant
Kondremul mineral oil
Time - lots of time.
Status - Healed!
