Postby samitabhishek » 05 Oct 2012, 23:23

i (17 years old ) had got a very hard and dry constipation in june 2012 .from then a pain started after going for stool . the pain remains till 2 o clock or 3 o clock..in the month of august during stool bleeding occured at start of the stool. the day when bleeding occured the pian remained till night..so i consulted a doctor he is not the experts of these (he did not examined) ..but he said that it might be piles he recommend "himalaya pilex".. i used that but no result..then i consulted a homeopathic doctor he told that i have anal fissure and it will take 3 month to heal. i started takin medicine with lot of fibre food ..the bleeding stooped but there is no improvement in the pain till now (october 2012) ....
the pain starts just with stool passes through anus...the pain gets minimised for an hour but slowly it starts again and reach to its top during 12o clock and then slowly it starts minimising and get corrected at 2:30 - 3:00 pm .
please help whether i have piles or fissure and what should i do...please help

Hi,
Sorry your feeling this pain your symptoms sound very like what mine were & I had both anal fissure & internal piles. You need to see a specialist in the area a colorectal surgeon he/she will confirm & put you on the right treatment.
I started off with nitro cream, sitz baths, Stool softeners, change diet & lots of painkillers didn't work. I've had Botox to relax the muscle it's wearing off now so going for another shot soon I find it's great so far. You need to keep your BM very soft like toothpaste.
I hope you get some sort of relief soon.
Take care 😊

Hiya,
Also sorry to hear you are suffering. Not nice stuff is it?
I have to say that the symptoms you describe sound very much like mine a few weeks into developing the fissure. I never had too much pain or bled with a BM but I had the lingering after pain you describe, which peaked at pretty much the times of the day you describe too. I took all the measures Bailey has described...loads of fluid, sensible eating, lots of hot (not sitz) baths, stool softeners and the docs precribed me Diltiazem cream to relax my sphincter muscle, which played a huge part in healing the fissure....(It took about 4 months from start to end but believe me, I acted quickly to get it sorted as it was so painful) I was also told I had internal piles after being examined under a EUA, but I don't feel these have really ever troubled me that much.
All the best in getting this confirmed and doing what you need to do to get through it. :)
Chronic Fissure diagnosed December 2011
Healed by Diltiazem around Feb 2013
Anal Fistula followed burst abscess in June 2012
2 internal troublesome piles remain & suspected, but undiagnosed, ongoing Levator Ani type symptoms & flare-ups
