Pencil THin-ish

Postby Fissure Frank » 08 Nov 2012, 11:47

Long sorry short. Anal fissure 2 weeks healed. No blood. Been taking Mirolax for about 3 weeks. Been real reguklar (sever constipated before), but now my stool is long and thin-ish. Not ribbon, more like cigar. Is this normal? Should i get back on the Mirolax?
Thanks. Fissure Frank

Thanks Rich. No pain or soreness. I also have seen an increase in the number of times I am going. Will ease off... thanks!

I wouldn't recommend easing up on what's working for you just yet. Fissures heal in stages and in the early stages of healing is when you are higher risk for recurrence. I would be less concerned about the diameter of stools than I would be about making sure they are soft and easy to pass with no straining and don't overly stretch the anus.
