14 month post surgery MAJOR setback

Postby Away PITA! » 02 Dec 2012, 21:05

I had LIS in Oct 2011. After a careful 2 month recovery I got back to my old life. It was the best 10 months I'd had it a looooonnnggg time. But over the last 3-4 weeks pain and blood have returned to my life. It's manageable and I'm back to my .3% nefedipine. But I'm scared I'm headed back to the CRS for LIS version 2.0. Image
The one major change recently is that I'd stopped exercising in the fall due to a knee issue in Sept/Oct. I was running, swimming, cycling several times a week (I'm a triathlete and runner). I'm planning to get back to a light walk/run routine starting tomorrow. Hopefully this will make a difference.
Just sharing my experience. I hope some might find it helpful. Thanks for reading and your support.

Sorry that you have had a set back.... It must feel so disappointing.
Get back on the stool softeners, drink plenty, keep up with the cream.... You know the routine.... Light exercise is a good thing..... My fingers are crossed for you that this is just a small blip.

I am very sorry to hear the set back after months of good results, I hope is just a minor set back and things go back to be nice again. I am also an active person that can not be still, even with all the pain and discomfort I have with the fissure I still have to keep my routine up.
