July is RIDICULOUS!!! You have to call back and be persistent. Tell them to put yo on a cancellation list. That is 6 months away...I dont believe for one second that they cant work you in. Dont accept this. Demand to be seen sooner or find someone else.

If you have no insurance and are going to have to be paying out of pocket anyway, I would just get yourself an appointment with a colorectal surgeon since these are the specialists who are most knowledgeable about anal problems.

im having the most horrible morning today.ate cereal with blueberries and miralax and activia. and pooped twice then sat in bath then still had the worst spasms so laid in bed for an hour. its now lunch time and i still get the worst throbbing pain every ten seconds or so. it feels like the spasms are getting bigger every day this week. it feels like a charlie horse on the left side and it kinda hurts towards left butt cheak now. i prayed to jesus this morning. hopefully he heard me!

crs said he might be able to see me this month and to take miralax night and morning and to take metamucil too until he can see me. thats better than my gi doc that cant see me until july!!

I've been getting those, my first attack lasted over 12 hours, followed by 2 days at just over 6 hours. So, so painful and seems never ending.
I'm not sure if it's the GTN or my heat pad but today I managed to eliminate them completely!
After this mornings BM I got straight in the bath, then after 30 mins applied 2.5cm of GTN. After this I got straight on the heat pad until around 1pm (varying the heat).
I might be wrong but I think once you get them you panic and it makes it worse. So I'm really trying to prevent them from ever starting.
One horrific thing that keeps happening to me is I have a huge, single spasm as I'm dropping to sleep and it wakes me up in one severe sharp blow. I don't seem to have any control over this but it must be a routine my body has got into.

crackinup~ have you had any surgerys or did they just give u cream?i get a pain at bedtime too, i guess its the fissure saying goodnight lol.how is your healing going?im haveing the most pain ever and yet no blood in two weeks.i hope the crs calls me back soon with an appointment. he is supposed to be really good crs.i hope it doesnt make me go in debt too much since i have no insurance.i atleast would like an anoscopy or something where he can atleast tell me what it looks like. my regular doc never actually looked in there and just assumed it was fissure since he felt no hemroids when he rammed his finger in there.
